Bothy Night - Fri 18th November
A packed hall enjoyed the excellent Scotish music, songs, joke and stories lead by Bill Hutcheson. Special mention to young musicians: Pip De Klerk for three excellent sessions playing the Clarsach and also to Eilidh De Klerk (flute) and Rona Hobson (Cello).
The event raised £410 for hall funds.
Flower and Produce Show - Saturday 3rd September
Again a good show with over 100 entries to this the fourth annual Kingoldrum Show. Results were:

- 1st Rona Hobson, 2nd Louise Anderson, 3rd Donald Hobson
Duck Race Sun 26th June
A very wet afternoon resulted in few people turning up on the day, but it did not deter the duck from taking to the Cromie Burn for their annual race.
Prize winners were 1st Levi McLean (Jinty's dog!), 2nd Arthur Baynes and 3rd= Anne Stuart and Margret Wilson.
The event raised £230 for hall funds.
Car boot sale Sat 16th April
Attended by some twenty sellers. The hall raised £190 from the tables and selling bacon rolls and teas etc.
AGM 22nd March
John McLean is replacing Carol McLean on the committee. Otherwise no changes.
Quiz night Friday 4th March
This was a very successful event with 11 teams entering.
Rod Webster - Singer Songwriter & Guitarist
Saturday 5th February
Rod entertained us with his blend of contemporary Scottish folk, roots and acoustic music including songs from his forthcoming album. We hope to welcome him back in the summer.
Bothy Night - Friday 26th November
This was a well attended event much enjoyed by all present. It stopped promptly at 10pm to allow everyone to get home through the heavy snow which started falling that evening.
Beetle Drive - Friday 8th October
A good evening enjoyed by all, raising £71 for hall funds.
Flower and Produce Show - Saturday 4th September
Over 100 entries were received for this the third annual show. The results showed a clear winner, Janet McLean. The Children's section was Rona Hobson. A full list of winners for each class are listed on the winners page.
Duck Race - Sunday 1st August 2-4pm
The weather stayed fair for this years Duck Race. A total of 300 ducks were sold, which together with the raffle raised nearly £300 for hall funds.
The winners were:

- 2nd prize (£25) Rena Lawson
- 3rd prize (£10) Daveena Rooke
Treasure Hunt - Sunday 20th June
Nine teams enjoyed this years Peter Pan themed treasure hunt on a bright sunny afternoon. Eight teams walked and one opted for the alternative cycle route. Overall winners were the South Street Sleuths with 19 correct answers out of 20 questions, second was The Barclay family with 18 points and three teams tied for third with 17 points.
AGM - Tuesday 23th March
The committee have planned events up to September, see Events page.
Major refurbishment of the hall, including repairs to the roof, insulation and renewable energy heating were discussed and will be pursued.
Quiz night - Friday 26th February
Despite the adverse weather, seven teams took up the challange of Ewan McLean's quiz. Results were:

Burns Night - Friday 22nd January 2010
A successful evening attended by over 40 people and raised £270 for hall funds. Thanks to all who help make this such a success.
Bothy Night - Friday 20th November
A sell-out success. This was a great night of traditional Scottish entertainment and food enjoyed by all. Just over £300 was raised for hall funds.
Flower and Produce Show - Saturday 5th September
A good number of entries were received for this the second annual show. The results were very close with Janet McLean and Jim McLaren joint winners and Liz Baynes just one point behind in third place. A full list of winners for each class are listed on the winners page.
Mini-Olympics and Fun Sports - Sunday 9th August
There was a very good turn out for this fun event and the weather stayed dry. Over 30 competitors took part and others enjoyed watching the fun and games. Winners were: Under 8 - Katie McDonald, 8-12 - Rebecca Elder and 13+ David Elder. Many thanks to Carol Mclean for her organisational talents.
Duck Race and Summer Fun Day - Sunday 21st June
The duck race enjoyed good weather and some 300 ducks were sold. The overall winner was Dodd Ferrier from Kingoldrum. Alison Gray won second prize and Mrs. Hill third prize. £240 was raised to hall funds.
Walking Treasure Hunt - Sunday 7th June
A successful event despite a rain shower. Five teams took part and all had a good time.
Plant and Produce Sale - Saturday 16th May
Despite a driech day there were a reasonable number of people at the sale. A total of £93.30 was raised for hall funds, [Teas £25.80, Tables 37.50 and Guess the Whiskey £25.00].
AGM - Tuesday 24th March 7.30pm
Welcome to Carol McLean and Bill Hutcheson who join the committee. Thanks to Hilary Kirk for being Treasurer for the past year.
Discussion included possible new tables, repairs to the hall and forthcoming events.
Quiz night - Friday 20th February
A successful evening quiz with Ewan McLean as quizmaster and six teams competing. First place in the quiz was won by the Wylie family team. The event raised over £70 for hall funds.
Bothy night Saturday 22nd November
An evening of music and entertainment was enjoyed by a capacity crowd despite the cold weather. Bill Hutcheson compered the Bothy band and other entertainments included the Rev I M Jolly. The evening raised over £400 for hall funds.
Beetle Drive 24th October
This event was well attended with eight tables playing. A fast and furious evening of fun was enjoyed by young and not so young alike, with Stuart Hayley as overall winner. The event raised £73 for hall funds.
